Zoning Commission

The Zoning Commission prepared for the Village Trustees draft zoning regulations and a draft zoning map based upon careful study and public input.

The Zoning Commission facilitated its first public workshop on December 5, 2006. The purpose of the workshop was to introduce the Zoning Map, District Intent, and Schedule of Uses to the public for discussion and comment. A Public Hearing was held and the Draft Zoning Law was unveiled to the public on March 6, 2007.

Code Enforcement Officer

The job of a code enforcement officer is an important part of the effort to provide a safe and healthy environment for the public. There are specific regulations and statutes a code enforcement officer needs to learn in order to perform their duties, and these will depend on the size and regulatory scope of the governmental entity they work for.

Code Enforcement Officer

The village Code Enforcement Officer is Stephen Streeter, who was appointed to the part-time osition by the Village Board on July 1, 2016. He replaces Lawrence Allen who retired.

A Code Enforcement Officer is responsible for making sure residents are in compliance with sections of the village municipal code, ordinances and resolutions in such areas a planning, zoning, community nuisance, property maintenance, housing, signs, and related areas.

Streeter has been the owner of Top Notch Construction Management Inc. in Stillwater, a small residential construction firm, since 2005.

You can reach Stephen Streeter at (518) 664-6258, Ext. 206 or email at
