Two village Trustees running unopposed Nov. 2 for re-election

Two Village of Stillwater Trustees, Judith Wood-Zeno and Dorothy DeMarco, are running unopposed for new four-year terms on the Board of Trustees. The election will be held on Tuesday, November 2. Voting is 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Stillwater Town Hall.

Village elections and registration are administered by the Saratoga County Board of Elections.

Judith Wood-Zeno

Trustee Judith Wood-ZenoJudith Wood-Zeno was elected to her first four-year term on the Board of Trustees in March, 2017, as a write-in candidate. She also served as Deputy Mayor. Now retired, Wood-Zeno had a 30-year career working with people as Senior Director of Account Management for Medco Health Solutions, an American Pharmacy Benefits Management Company which served more than 65 million people before it was ultimately acquired by Express Scripts in 2012. Wood-Zeno has lived in the village for 27 years and has a keen interest in preserving the historical character of the village. She is a member of the Stillwater Historical Society, the Newland-Wood Fire Department, and the Book Club at the Stillwater Public Library. She is also a board member and treasurer for Highway Tabernacle Church in Stillwater. She is also the village’s Volunteer 911 Coordinator.

Dorothy DeMarco

Trustee Dorothy DeMarcoDorothy DeMarco was first elected to the Board of Trustees on Nov. 6, 2018. She is serving the remainder of a three-year term that ends in December, 2021. DeMarco is a lifetime Stillwater resident coming from a long line of Stillwater natives. She retired from Price Chopper in 2007. She is active in her church, making sure that the building is always well kept. She serves on the Board of Highway Tabernacle as a Deacon. DeMarco’s focus as Trustee has been on beautification efforts and community outreach within the village.
