Village Trustees approve $1.55 million budget for 2020-21

The Stillwater Board of Trustees has unanimously approved a $1.55 million village budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year, which carries no property tax increase from the current year.

The village property tax rate will remain at $4.10 per $1,000 of assessed value in 2020-21.

The budget vote April 14 followed an online public hearing in which no one commented on the proposed spending plan. The new budget will go into effect on June 1.

The newly-approved budget for 2020-21 totals $1,549,500 and breaks down as follows:

  • General Fund: $852,200 – up $9,900 from 2019-20
  • Water Fund: $336,400 – up $5,250 from 2019-29
  • Sewer Fund: $360,900 – up $200 from 2019-20
  • Total Budget: $1,549,500 – up $15,350 from 2019-20
