Village officials and friends lead Stillwater Halloween parade

Stillwater village officials and friends had the honor of leading the children’s Halloween parade at the annual downtown Fall Festival last Saturday, perfectly dressed as the Wizard of Oz crew.

“We had a great time,” said Mayor Rick Nelson. “We all enjoyed the food and conversation and were blown away by the number of children who took part in the costume parade”

Thank you to Trustee Judith Wood-Shaw (Wicked Witch) and Trustee Frank Tatum (Cowardly Lion) for dressing up. Also thanks to Johnathan for stepping in at the last minute as the Tin Man (thanks to costume minds Janine and Twig).

A BIG special thanks to the Mayor’s sister Kari Lee, who was decked out to the nines as Glenda (the Good Witch), son Patrick (Scarecrow) and wife Catherine as (Dorothy).

“We’re already talking about what we will wear next year,” Mayor Nelson said.

Happy Halloween everyone!
