community centerHistory

The Stillwater Area Community Center was founded and incorporated in 1991 by a group of civic-minded volunteers. The facility originally served as the old Palmer Street School. When the school was shut down by the Stillwater School District, the Town requested that the building be given to the Town for a community center. Though SACC is a 501-c-3 not-for-profit, the building continues to be owned and maintained by the Town of Stillwater for the benefit of the entire community.
