Conti family duo complete National Firefighter One course

The Stillwater Fire Department would like to congratulate the brother/sister duo of Heather and Lane Conti, both who recently completed the National Standard Firefighter One Class held at the Saratoga County Training Facility in Ballston Spa.

The course is 104 hours and consists of classroom and hands-on training. The duo also spent numerous hours at the Stillwater Fire Department training and preparing for the course with local officers.

This course is now the national standard and taught across the country. With completing this course, the two are ready to fight fires anywhere in the United States.

Both Conti’s are scheduled to graduate this year from the Stillwater Central School District. Lane Conti is a member of the Stillwater football team. He also served with the Boy Scouts America.

Heather, the “quiet one,” is a high honor student who spends her free time participating in school activities such as the Math League and Book Club.

Lane and Heather are the children of First Assistant and past Stillwater Fire Chief Anthony Conti. Mr. Conti has been a member of the Stillwater Fire Department for more than 20 years and has held numerous positions in the department. He is very proud to have another generation join in the fire service along with many families, who are also legacies to the Stillwater Fire Department.
