The Stillwater Board of Trustees has approved a $1.60 million village budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year, which carries no property tax increase from the current year.

The village property tax rate will remain at $4.10 per $1,000 of assessed value in 2022-23. The new budget will go into effect on June 1, 2022 and runs through May 31, 2023.

The newly-approved budget for 2022-23 totals $1,602,703 and breaks down as follows:

• General Fund: $869,827 – up $5,917 from 2021-22
• Water Fund: $359,150 – up $18,300 from 2021-22
• Sewer Fund: $374,725 – up $3,325 from 2021-22
• Total Budget: $1,602,703 – up $26,543 or 1.6 percent from 2021-22
